After the earthquake

This week Canterbury College received a visit by NZQA.

NZQA has made the visit at the new address of the College on 123 Worcester Street, where was possible to discuss the new projects will be done later this year and in 2011.

Also this week Canterbury College through their directos Sueann and David attended a meeting with Ministry of Education, where they spoke about issues related to the event of the earthquake and about future actions.

Farming Course and Federico from Argentina

Canterbury College visited Federico from Argentina in his “battlefield”.

Federico is studying General English and Farming course with us and today we went to visit his farm.
At the Farm he is learning a lot of skills needed to work in the farming industry, that can be used to find a job opportunity here in New Zealand or in his home country.

Federico said: “My dad works with farm in Argentina and in future, for me, this experience here in New Zealand will be great, especially because I am also learning English. I am very happy!”

Federico está estudando Inglês Geral e Agricultura conosco and fomos visitá-lo na fazenda.
Na fazenda ele está aprendendo muitas habilidades necessárias para trabalhar na industria de agricultura, que podem ser usadas para encontrar uma oportunidade de trabalho aqui na Nova Zelândia ou em seu país.

Federico disse: "Meu pai  trabalha com fazenda na Argentina e no futuro, para mim, esta experiência aqui na Nova Zelândia será ótima, especialmente porque eu estou também aprendendo Inglês. Eu estou muito feliz!"

Federico es el estudio de Inglés General y Agricultura con nosotros y nos fuimos a visitarlo en la granja.
En la granja él está aprendiendo muchas habilidades necesarias para trabajar en la industria de la agricultura, que puede ser usada para encontrar una oportunidad de trabajo aquí en Nueva Zelanda o en su país.

Federico dijo: "Mi papá trabaja con granjas en Argentina y en el futuro, para mí, esta experiencia aquí en Nueva Zelanda es grande, sobre todo porque también estoy aprendiendo Inglés. Estoy muy feliz!"
